- Developed a vehicle detection system for a single lane road using a mini Traffic light system with CCTV - Implemented a sensor system to detect the presence of cars when the Traffic light turns red - Resolved budget constraints by utilizing a magnetometer product from Adafruit as a cost-effective vehicle detection sensor - Implemented a self-driving car that stops when an object comes within range of the sensor and monitors the object until it reaches the minimum distance - Utilized a servo to turn the ultrasonic sensor left and right, collecting distance measurements in each direction - Made decisions on which direction to turn based on the availability of distance on each side - Implemented a mechanism to turn around and drive back if both sides are blocked - Sourced and utilized components from various suppliers, including Amazon, to build the system.
